Lanes/Roles:

Solo:

Use Chaac’s thunderstrike ability to clear the wave early on so that way you can focus on the enemy god. Once you cast thunderstrike, you have a decision to make with Chaac. You can do more damage to the wave or enemy god by using Torrent to teleport to the axe. However, once you can full clear the wave easily then it is better to cast Rain Dance to heal and box the enemy god.

Remember, Rain Dance heals you and slows down the enemy god which is great for boxing and pushing the lane. Mid to late game, use Storm Call to zone out the enemy damage carries and silence them so your team can initiate freely.

Update Section:

In recent patches Chaac has gotten multiple buffs to increase his viability. Rain Dance now slows the enemy auto attack speed. In addition, any ability that is used from his passive now has 2 seconds shaved off the cooldown.

Pros and Cons List:

| Pros:

Builds:

Solo

Start:

Round shield, Health Chalice, and 3 health pots with teleport as your relic.

Full Build: (Left to Right)

Late Game: swap Gladiator’s shield for Void Shield or Oni Hunter’s Garb.

For

Fun build: Swap Hide of Nemean Lion for Midgardian Mail to stack the Rain Dance slow and the Midgardian passive. Swap Gladiator’s shield for Shield of Regrowth to gain movement speed from rain dance.

Gameplay:

Chaac’s strength comes from his ability to control zones either in lane or during a team fight. While you’re boxing in lane you can use the thunderstrike and rain dance combo to give yourself the advantage. It’s also great to slow the enemy hunter’s attack speed while initiating a fight. Less apparent is during a team fight if your team is running away you can use the Rain Dance combo to slow down enemy gods while you retreat. If your team is securing an objective, you can cast your ultimate to make sure the enemy mage or hunter can’t cast abilities to steal it.
